Doing the Charleston

I spent a couple of days in Charleston to get in a last hurrah before school starts back. Boy, was it hot! Did a little shopping…and by little, I mean little! Prices have gone up astronomically; especially in a touristy town like Charleston. I bought a small bottled water and a small diet coke and they cost $12.77. The clerk, after seeing the shock on my face at the price, scurried behind the counter to give me two plastic cups of ice to go with our water and diet Coke. I guess he thought it would make me feel better to get a little something else for my money. And guess what? He was right!
